#MeFact: My Love For Vampires

Today, 26th May, lovers of literature and vampires alike gather to celebrate the most famous vampire of all: Dracula. World Dracula Day commemorates the publication date of Bram Stoker’s Dracula on May 26, 1897. This Gothic horror novel introduced Count Dracula and Professor Abraham Van Helsing. The story tells of Dracula’s attempt to move from Transylvania to England in order to find new blood and spread the vampire curse.

Vampires have always – and probably will always – be my favorite supernatural creatures and I watch basically every movie or tv serie about them. Vampires take you to a different world, a world of fantasy and mystery, a world of dreams!

Vampires are are incredibly sexy, powerful and passionate creatures that can also be dangerous, or even deadly, should you fall under their hypnotic gaze. Their lust for blood resonates with our lust for what’s forbidden. Vampires can live forever but they have their limitations. And not being responsible could cause their death.

Perhaps my love for vampires is the main reason working out vampire photo shootings is one of my favorite things to do.

Did you know I even started my own vampire photo story called A Vampire’s Tale? It tells the story of vampire queen Lady V. Read about it here.

“Do you believe in destiny? That even the powers of time can be altered for a single purpose?”
